The Baltic Marine Technical Investigation Group (BMTIG) hereby publishes the complete scientific report series R1–R10 (2025), forming the core of the Independent Estonia Investigation.
The report series presents a transparent, reproducible and non-governmental technical assessment of the MS Estonia damage and sinking sequence. The analysis includes structural deformation, energy requirements, hydrodynamic modelling, bottom interaction, and a consolidated collision-based causal scenario consistent with all available physical evidence.
All reports are available in English, with Swedish and Estonian translations provided where applicable.
